Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify attachment and detachment of a loop-shaped band saw edge by fixing a workpiece on both a middle table and outer table which are provided at a predetermined height and divided into two parts on a bedplate and feeding the blade in a predetermined direction.
CONSTITUTION: An outer table 14 fixing 20 a workpiece G is supported by a fixed leg 16. A middle table 15 is supported at its rear end by a fixed leg 17 and at its forward end by movable legs 18A, 18B, 18C and 18D. A band saw blade 10 is removed from wheels 6, 7 and 8, and thereafter the legs 18B and 18D are caused to drop. Then, the blade 10 is passed through a gap between the legs 18B and 18D, and then restored to the original position and the legs 18A and 18C are caused to drop.
