CONSTITUTION:When remote line concentrating stations 20, 21 detect impossible control from a master station, a channel switch 6 is switched. When a central controller 11 recognizes the dial number from a subscriber 11, starting is made from an outgoing trunk 22 of the remote station to an incoming trunk 23 of the station 21. The subscriber 11 is transmitted to the remote station 21 via a subscriber line 21, subscriber line switch 3, coder/decoder 5, channel selector switch 6, primary multiplex separation circuit 15, secondary multiplex separation circuit 16, time division switch 14m secondary multiplex separation circuit 16, primary multiplex separation circuit 15, coder/decoder 26 and outgoing trunk 22, and transmitted to the subscriber 11' with the opposite path at the station 21.
