Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover a generated methane gas in good effiency by a method wherein an inclined plate is provided in a methane gas generating tank and a thrown household waste material is received and held on the inclined plate and moved downwardly along an inclined surface by gravity.
CONSTITUTION: A household waste material 10a thrown from a supply port 2 is fallen onto an inclined plate 4 and held thereon and gradually decomposed into carbon dioxide and a methane gas. The decomposed fermented sludge 10b is slid along the inclined plate 4 to be flowed onto a subsequent inclined plate 5 and moved to a terminal end 10C thereof. During this time, the thrown household waste material is converted to a fermented sludge and flowed to a bottom part of a tank but, becuase the tank bottom part is inclined as shown by 1a, said sludge is moved to positions 10dW10e and, further, decomposed into a methane gas and carbon dioxide to be gasified. Thereby, if the waste material is thrown, it is not directly precipitated into the fermented sludge and gas generation is carried out favorably.
