Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency, by providing a compensating member which pivots on a supporting shaft and press-contacts with a tape, and absorbing a difference of a running distance of the tape. CONSTITUTION:A means which press-contacts with a tape and compensates a difference of a running distance of the tape is provided between a capstan 1 and a magnetic head 9. As for the compensating means, for instance, it is desirable to provide a compensating member 13 which press-contacts with a sound recording tape 11 from the side in a bend-raised part of the tip of a pinch roller arm 3, and has a rotary supporting shaft 14 at a position being almost equal to height of the center of the tape 11. The compensating member 13 turns like self- aligning in pivoting on the supporing shaft 14 when the tape is running, and absorbs a difference of a running distance of the tape, which is caused by the direction in which a pin 7 falls down, and its extent. This compensating member is provided in one body together with the head on the side of the head, or is provided on a head substrate 10.
