Abstract
PURPOSE:To elevate the running property whose electromagnetic conversion characteristic is not deteriorated, by providing a back coating layer containing nonmagnetic iron oxide powder and fatty acid, on the reverse side of a base body film. CONSTITUTION:A back coating layer containing nonmagnetic iron oxide powder whose mean particle diameter is <=0.5mu such as alpha-Fe2O3 powder, alpha-FeOOH powder, etc., and fatty acid such as lauric acid, muristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, etc., ina binder such as vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate-vinyl alcohol copolymer, etc. is provided on the reverse side of a base body film having a magnetic layer on its one surface.
