Abstract

PURPOSE:To brake a pulse motor without hunting or noise by a method wherein the shaft of rotation is provided with a braking disk whereto an electromagnet is opposedly located and pulse motor rotation induced electromotive force is supplied to said electromagnet. CONSTITUTION:Sequential activation of transistors 7 supplies voltages sequentially to I-IV phases of motor windings, currents generated by excitation flowing into a pulse motor 1 causing said motor to rotate. Currents generated by de- excitation caused counter electromotive force are supplied to rectifiers 8 wherein they are rectified and then are sent to the coil 5 of an electromagnet 4. Application of voltages to the coil 5 generates an eddy current in the braking disk 3 size whereof proportional to the rotation speed of the pulse motor 1, thereby providing said disk with braking force.
