Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare an insecticide having broad insecticidal spectrum, rapid activity, and prolonged action, and effective even to resistant vermins, by using a specific benzoylurea compound which is a new tye stomach poison in combination with a known contact poisonous insecticide as active components.
CONSTITUTION: The objective insecticide contains (A) a benzoylurea compound of formula (X is Cl or methvl; n is 0W2), e.g. N-(2,6-difluorobenzoyl)N-[3,5- dichloro-4-(3-chloro-5-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridyloxy)phenyl]urea, and (B) an insecticidal compound selected from organophosphorus insecticides, carbamate insecticides, pyrethroid insecticides, organic chlorine insecticides, amidine-type insecticides, and organotin insecticides. The agent can control a wide variety of vermins (e.g. tobacco cutworm, diamondback moth, spider mites, fly, mosquito, etc.) at plowed land, paddy rice field, orchard, forestry, or in the living environment of man and animals, at a relatively low concentration.
