Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the water lifting height, by connecting a pipe having a small diameter to an upper portion of a float so that water above the float can be lifted to a higher level with lifting of the float.
CONSTITUTION: When a water inlet valve 6 is opened, a float 9 is raised while draing water in a water supply tank 3. At the same time, a gate valve 1 is moved upward, so that water above the float 9 is lifted into a water reserving tank 11 via a water lifting pipe 10. When the float 9 is stopped at least an upper portion in a water chamber 12, both of the gate valve 1 and inlet valve 6 are closed. Subsequently, when water in the chamber 12 is discharged into a discharge tank 8 by opening a discharge valve 7, float 9 falls to the bottom of chamber 12. Then, the discharge valve 7 is closed and inlet valve 6 is opened. While the float 9 is being raised, vane wheels 5 are turned for preventing water above the float from flowing downward. In the above arrangement, if the discharge tank 8 is divided vertically in a plurality of sections and the discharge valve 7 is provided in each section, energy required for lifting water can be saved by opening the discharge valves 7 from a higher one successively.
