Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to set an inserted paper smoothly without folding the edge part, by inserting a printing paper to a prescribed position after spacing a printing head by a distance being a half of detected width of the printing paper.
CONSTITUTION: An amount being a half of width of a printing paper 9 is operated from an information of position given by the operating device 23, and this figure is sent over to a driving circuit 24 as an amount of shifting of a driving motor 4. A printing paper 9 is turned around a platen 8 and inserted between the platen 8 and a front guide 19. As a carriage 2 is located on the center of width of the printing paper 9, a distance between the edge sections on the right and left of the front guide 19 and the edge sections on the right and left sides of the printing paper 9 becomes short. For this reason, the printing paper 9 can be kept from falling to the front side, and even if the lever 11 were to be brought down toward the platen 8 while keeping the conditions as it is, the printing paper is not folded by being caught between a pushing roller 10 and the platen 8, and therefore, the paper is able to be inserted smoothly.
