PURPOSE:To obtain a simple triple system (recordable and reproducible in PAL and SECAM systems and reproducible in the NTSC system), by correcting signals, which are obtained from the first and the second rotary heads, so that intervals of synchronizing pulses become regular and by obtaining carrier phase switching pulses for reproducing in the NTSC system on a basis of a delay video signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal (through video signal) where intervals of synchronizing pulses become irregular at a head switching time is inputted to an input terminal 17, and a delay video signal is inputted to an input terminal 32. The delay video signal is supplied to an equivalent pulse eliminating circuit 34 through a synchronizing separating circuit 33 to extract synchronizing pulses. These pulses are used as carrier phase switching pulses of a carrier phase control circuit 23. At this time, since the switching timing does not coincide for one reproduced output, a head switching pulse is led to the carrier phase control circuit as a carrier phase switching stop signal.
