Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a reliable and rapid measurement, by a method wherein, in a component analysis by a reaction speed measuring method for a biochemical component, a plurality of light measurements are conducted in a reaction process, and a selection is made through the comparison of a final light measurement value with a preset reference value. CONSTITUTION:In a measurement of an enzyme amount of a biochemical components, e.g., glutamic oxalacetic transminase (GOT) and the like, an absorbancy is measured at several points in a reaction process, and the results are compared with a reference value Aref previously within a range of a final light measuring time previously determined. In the case of a final light measurement value Aend, e.g., 5 in the Figure, exceeding the Aref, a reaction speed at a distance between measuring points 1-4 before a measuring point 5 is computed. In case the absorbancy Aend at the final light measuring point 5 is below the reference value Aref, a reaction speed at a distance between the mesuring points 1-5 is computed. The sufficent utilization of a reagent concentration in this manner enables to perform a highly precise measurement of the GOT so as to prevent the production of an eroneous result due to the deterioration or preparation error of the reagent.
