Abstract

PURPOSE: To ease the regulation of a sucking amount of water by mounting a suction amount regulating valve on an air introducing port communicating to a pressurized part of a pump supported underwater by a float with the atmosphere on the water.
CONSTITUTION: A pump 9 is supported underwater by a float 5, while the float maintains a cup-shaped opening 6 of a sucking port 3. When the pump is operated with the above condition, floating substances on the water are collected from the opening 6 and discharged through a hose 7. The regulation of a sucking amount by the pump 9 is accomplished by a suction amount regulating valve 2 mounted on an air introducing port 1 communicating to the pressurized part in the pump 9 with the atmosphere on the water. Then, the air introduced into a pressurized part in the pump 9 is increased or decreased corresponding to the increase or decrease of the sucked water amount.
