Abstract
PURPOSE: To strive for miniaturization of the titled device by forming a pinion shaft which moves in parallel direction to the center of the axia at the time a steering wheel is operated and by connecting a pinion and a spool valve via a lever which is supported on one part of main body.
CONSTITUTION: A pinion 2 geared with a rack 1 is formed in one united body with a pinion shaft 5 and is supported on a main body 4 through bearings 6 and 7 provided front and rear of the pinion 2. The bearings 6 and 7 are supported inside an oval slot 8, and can move in the rotating direction through the working of an initial operation of the steering wheel. On the pinion shaft 5, a level 23 which rocks with a movement of the shaft 5 is provided. With the shaft 5 rotated in any direction by operating of the steering wheel, the pinion 2 is displaced by an allowable part by the slot 8 along the rack 1. The lever 23 is rocked in an inclined face 26 as the center of a fulcrum part 25 with a rock toward the direction of displacement of the pinion 2. Accordingly, a spool valve 3 is switched and displaced with switching of the valve 3, the rack 1 is driven in the direction of rotating and driving of the pinion 2.
