Abstract

PURPOSE:To find the ratio of each peak area of a specified component and steam and wt% of the specified component from the wt% of added steam easily and accurately, by mearuring the steam added other than the specified component at the same time. CONSTITUTION:A, B... are used for the substances to be reacted and steam not concerning in a reaction directly is added. On this occasion, wt% of the steam is known because the supplied ratio of A, B... and steam are kept in constant. The quantities of the reaction products M, N... produced in a reaction vessel and the steam, are measured by a process gas chromatography. A highly accurate measurement of the wt% of the M component is given by finding a peak area SM of the M component and the peak area SH20 of the steam for example, regarding M as a specified product and next, finding the wt% of the steam and then, carrying out the proportional calculation, exluding the errors caused by the sample quantity, culumn tempeature and detector sensitivity.
