Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify an operation which opens and closes a fliter plate in a filter press which has plural filter plates and left and right side frams, which support left and right holding arms of each of the filter plates, respectively, by providing a conveyer on the frame of one side so that the holding arm of the conveyer side is placed on the conveyer to open or close the plate by inclining the plate toward said side with the holding arm of the other side as a handle.

CONSTITUTION: A driving gear 8 is rotated in the reverse direction through a gear 9' with a motor after solid-liquid separation in a filter press is terminated, then a traction rod 5 is moved to the arrow (b) direction with a block 9 of a female screw. And, further, a drip board 18 is located at a place shown in the dotted line and a chain conveyer 7 is driven in the arrow (b) direction by a motor 13. Next, an operator lifts up a handle 3e of a filter plate 2 so that the plate 2 is tilted from the opposite side for the side of a conveyer 7, then, the lower face of a block 11 of a holding arm 3d of the other side is brought into contact with the upper face of the conveyer 7. Thereupon, the plate is tilted with a rail 1e of a circular cross section a fulcrum without deviation causing by a groove 4a adapted to the shape of the rail 1e, and, the outer circumference of the taper-shaped block 11 contacts closely with the conveyer 7. Then, the holding arm 3d of the one side is conductecd with the conveyer 7 through the block 11, and the holding arm 3e of the other side is conducted with the hand of the operator, thereby the plate 2 is conveyed, thus the filter plates in the filter press are united and separated.
