CONSTITUTION: Works 2 supplied by a work feeding guide rail 1 are attracted sequentially one by one to an electrode plate 11 fixed to a local attraction surface 9A on a attraction surface 4 of a rotary electromagnetic chuck 3 with weak attraction force. The attracted works 2 are transferred through a transferring portion B to a supply portion C by rotation of the electromagnetic chuck 3 and then strongly magnetized therein by the action of the electrode plate 11 to be supplied under strongly attracted condition. The works 2 reaching the supply portion C are removed sequantially from the attraction surface 4 at an inlet of a transferring guide rail 5 to be fed between grinding wheels 6, 7. Then the magnetizing force of the electrode plate 11 is reduced or demagnetized.
