Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a higher stickiness, a better appearance and a good slipping effect, by providing exterior parts for a watch with a coating of a clear paint prepared by alkyd resin, melamine resin, additive and silicon withepoxy resin. CONSTITUTION:A clear paint 3, which is composed of 15-40% of epoxy, 20- 40% of alkyd, 5-15% of melamine, 0.5-1.5% of paint additives, 0.004-0.07% of silicon and a solvent, is applied onto surface of a part 1 for a watch. Epoxy resin is used for improving stickiness, moisture-resisting performance and chemical-resisting performance. As to the light-resisting performance of epoxy resin, this problem can be covered by alkyd resin and melamine resin. And, the additives are able to lower surface tension of the paint and improve quality of the surface. Silicon serves the purposes of increasing level of the paint surface, improving appearance and providing a good slipping effect by lowering friction on the paint surface.
