Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the use of two kinds of noise reducing device possible, by providing a limiter circuit selectively insertably in the gain control signal system where the output of a level sensor is given to a voltage control amplifier for level expansion. CONSTITUTION:The reproduced signal applied to an input terminal IN1 is supplied to a voltage control amplifier VCA and is amplified to a prescribed level and is led out to an output terminal OUT. The output from a level sensor RMS which detects the level of the reproduced signal is supplied to the control signal input terminal of the VCA through a switching circuit SS for noise reduction system. When signals of ''L'' and ''H'' are applied to input terminals IN2 and IN3 respectively, transistors Q1-Q3 are all turned off, and the output of the RMS is given to the VCA as it is. When signals of ''H'' and ''L'' levels are applied to input terminals IN2 and IN3 respectively, a limiter is so inserted that the output of the RMS does not become a constant level or below.
