Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the noise and to make the characteristics high-linearity, by constituting a balanced mixer without a differential amplifier in the high frequency signal system.
CONSTITUTION: Transistors (TR)12 and 13 have emitters connected mutually, and emitters are grounded through an emitter resistance 14, and a high frequency input signal applied from a terminal 3 through a capacitor 11 is applied to these emitters. Meanwhile, local oscillation signals having polarities opposite to each other applied from terminals 1 and 2 through coupling capacitors 9 and 10 are applied to bases of TRs 12 and 13 respectively. Consequently, high frequency signals of the same polarity and local oscillation signals having polarities opposite to each other are applied to TRs 12 and 13 respectively, and intermediate frequency components havng polarities opposite to each other are obtained from their collectors. These intermediate frequency components are taken out through a terinal 21 from the secondary winding of a differential intermeidate frequency transformer with center tap connected to terminals 7 and 8.
