Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the capacity of an electromagnet for attracting an armature, by placing in contact with the end face of a coil bobbin and flange of the armature to which one end of a coiled spring provided on the peripheral part of a rotary shaft is anchored.
CONSTITUTION: At a clutch, a driving rotary shaft 1 is supported on the peripheral surface of a driven rotary shaft 2 and a coiled spring 4 is fitted around the rotary shafts 1,2. The groove of an armature 7 is fitted with the outward hook 6 of the spring 4. One side of a flange 7' is opposed to the end face of a yoke 9 containing an exciting coil 10. The side of the flange 7' is placed in contact with the end face of a coil bobbin 12. The armature 7 is provided with a hoked force to the hook 6 by the frictional contact between the flange 7' and the bobbin 12 to keep the hook 6 from turning. For that reason, the coiled spring 4 is tightly wound to couple the rotary shafts 1, 2 to each other to transmit motive power.
