PURPOSE:To obtain durable polarizing plate prevented from deformation and peeling-off by using partially saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, which has specific ranges of copolymerization ratio and saponification value, for bonding between the polarizing film consisting of vinyl alchol polymer and a supporting plate or a protection film. CONSTITUTION:A polarizing film A consisting of vinyl alchol polymer is adhered with a protection plate or a protection film C made of an acrylic plate by using an adherent layer B consisting of partially saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer in which 20-70% ethylene is included and the saponification value of vinyl acetate is 30-90mol%. Since the adherent layer B is extremely transparent and optically inactive and has strong adhesion to the protection film C and the polarizing film A, a polarizing plate with superior water resisting property and durability can be obtained. Thus, the polarizing plate can be prevented from peeling-off and deformation at punching work or during its use.
