Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the normal position of a sound image from the position of a reproducing speaker toward the side of a listener and to realize a consecutive change of the distance feeling between the speaker and the listener, by synthesizing the signal passed through an attenuator and the signal obtained via a sound source creating circuit and giving these synthesized signals to the right and left speakers. CONSTITUTION:An input signal I1 applied to an input termimal 1 is led to a pan pot 9 to be branched into the signals of four channels i1, i2, i3 and i4. Then the signal obtained by attenuating 14 the signal i1 is added 16 with the outputs of circuits 10 and 11 through imaginary sound producing circuits 12 and 13 to be amplified 5 and applied to a speaker 6. At the same time, the signal obtained by attenuating 15 the signal i2 is added 17 with the outputs of the circits 10 and 11 to be amplified 5' and supplied to a speaker 6'. Thus a listener 7 senses the radiation of sounds through the imaginary sound sources 12 and 13 while listening to the sounds given through the speakers 6 and 6'.
