Abstract

PURPOSE:To recude the consumption of the electric power of a power source by supplying clock signals for operation to the modulating circuit of a transmitter and a control circuit, controlling the modulating circuit during the transmission of a burst signal, only during the buse signal transmission. CONSTITUTION:In a time-division multiplex radio communication transmitter consisting of a master station and subordinate stations, a control circuit 20 controls an AD converter 12 and an input analog signal is converted into a digital signal, which is written in a memory 13. A burst signal is sent from the memory 13 to a time slot TS assigned to its station, and modulated by a modulating circuit 15 into a radio signal, which is sent out through a switching circuit 15, a transmitting circuit 17, and an antenna 18. The circuit 20 outputs a transmission timing control signal to control the circuit 16 and an AND circuit 21. The circuit 21 inputs a clock signal for operation from an oscillating circuit 22, whose output is supplied to the circuit 15 and a control circuit 23. The circuits 15 and 23 are each composed of a C-MOS, and the circuit 23 supplies the clock signal to the memory 13 and circuit 15 in response to only the TS of its own station, thereby reducing power consumption.
