Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize output of a semiconductor laser device, by controlling an electron refrigerating element and laser element driving curent device in accordance with output of a heat-sensitive element arranged in proximity of a semiconductor laser device. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser element 12 is driven circuit 11, temperature in the neighborhood of this element is detected by a heat-sensitive element 13, an output on one side is put into a comparator 15 through an amplifier 14, an electron refrigerating element 18 of Beltier effect element, etc. is controlled and driven by this output through a drive control circuit 16, an output on the other side is put into a comparator 19 and the laser driving circuit 11 is controlled by this output. It is possible, by doing so, to reduce in number of elements constituting an output stabilizing device and improve safety of temperature control.
