Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable ink jet recorder free from the evaporation and the increase in the viscosity of ink, by providing an ink tank made of a flexible film of a low gas-permeability and adapted to be reduced in the volume by the action of the atmosphereic pressure with the decrease of the ink resulting from jetting. CONSTITUTION:In an jet recorder adapted to jet an ink contained in an ink tank 7 from an ink jet nozzle in partcle, the ink is filled in an ink tank 6 formed of a flexible plastics film of a low gas-permeability (e.g. a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride). The ink is supplied to a pressurizing chamber 1 through a ink supply tube 3 connected to the ink tank 6 by means of joints 8 and 9. The ink is pressuirzed by pressurizing the pressurizing chamber 1 with a pressure plate 4 so that the ink is jet out through an orifice 2 in particles for recording. The volume of the ink tank 6 is reduced by the action of the atmospheric pressure with the reduction of the ink.
