Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a moisture content calculated within a range perfectly permissible to practical use in the difference from the acutal moisture content by determining it from an optimal movement averaging equation corresponding to changes in the drying speed. CONSTITUTION:A resistance or high frequency type moisture content meter S attached to a grain dryer operates intermittently according to a command signal (t) emitted with a timer T to input a data voltage Er into a calculator C through an AD converter. The calculator C computes a moisture content during the measurement at the time of (n) by a movement averaging equation indicated on the right drawing when the measured content at the time of (n) is expressed by Msn and the result is indicated on an indicator D. On the other hand, the moisture content thus obtained is memorized in a memory M connectd to the calculator C. The level of a drying speed Rm calculated with an Rm arithmetic device R is discriminated with a discriminator h whereby Y is set at an optimal value according to the drying speed. This minimizes the errors due to accidental variations in the measured moisture content.
