Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A herbicide comprising a 1,1'-bis(carboxymethyl)-4,4'-bipyridinium dihalide or a 1,1'-bis(methoxycabonylethyl)-4,4'-bipyridinium dihalide as an active ingredient. It is preferably used as especially a water-soluble agent. In this case, a surface active agent, dispersion stabilizer, smelling agent, etc. may be properly added.
