Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid impairing the required appearance of a bead heel part and enable to eliminate the need to clip a projecting part by providing non-penetrating small holes continuously on the circumference of the part of a mold for vulcanizing a tire which part corresponds to a bead heel.
CONSTITUTION: A cope 1 and a drag 2 of the mold E for vulcanizing the tire are provided respectively with a cope bead ring 3 and a drag bead ring 4 at their respective parts corresponding to the bead, and the non-penetrating holes 6 are provided continuously and at intervals on the circumferences of bead heel molding parts 5 of the bead rings 3, 4. When an unvulcanized tire T is vulcanized by using the mold E, the tire T is pushed by an internal pressure to approach the inside surface of the mold and is further pushed forward to be deformed so as to conform to the shape of the mold cavity. In this case, part of the gas present between the mold E and the tire T stagnates at the bead heel molding part 5. When the tire T is further pushed forward by the internal pressure, the stagnant gas is compressed by the tire T in the proximity of the non-penetrating holes 6 due to the presence of the holes 6, so that the stagnant gas is sealed in the bottom parts of the non-penetrating holes 6.
