Abstract
PURPOSE: To separate the titled components useful as medicines, by bringing an aqueous solution containing a colonization stimulating factor (CSF) and callicrein derived from human urine into contact with a weakly basic anion exchanger, adsorbing both substances in the exchanger, and subjecting the substances to the salt concentration gradient elution method.
CONSTITUTION: The pH of a human urine as it is or an aqueous solution prepared by partially concentrating a colonization stimulating factor (CSF) derived from human urine and human uric callicrein is adjusted to 6.0W8.0, and the adjusted urine or aqueous solution is then concentrated to the uric proteinic concentration of preferably at least 40mg/mland heated to 55W65°C. The urine or aqueous solution is then adjusted to a pH of 0.4W5.0, mixed with polyethylene glycol and heated to precipitate and remove heat denatured substances. After removing the denatured substances, the pH is adjusted to 6.0W8.0 and the urine or aqueous solution is then brought into contact with a weakly basic anion exchanger to adsorb active constituents on the exchanger. The adsorbed substances are then subjected to the salt concentration gradient method at a pH of 6.0W8.0 to elute the uric CSF at a relatively low concentration and elute the callicrein at a relatively high concentration. Thus, the respective components are separated and purified.
