Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the safety of a tire by forming a rubber like elastic layer containing a cholesteric liquid crystal and having specific modulus of elasticy via a primer layer having specific modulus of elasticy on the side of an automobile tire within specified area of the tire.
CONSTITUTION: A rubber like elastic layer 3 containing a chlolesteric liquid crystal and having modulus of elasticy of 0.2W0.8kg/cm2 is integrally formed on a tire side 1 starting from the bead base toward the crown within a band like region or the protruded part of the tire side 3/10W6/10 of the section height, a primer layer 2 having modulus of elasticy of 0.2W0.8kg/cm2 being applied to said region pior to the formation of said bubber like elastic layer 3 which is then covered by a polyurethane protective layer 4 thereby enabling visual inspection of the temperature change of the tire during the running to improve the safety.
