CONSTITUTION:When an automatic sound recording setting operation is started, white noise, peaking frequency and sound recording bias current are recorded on a magnetic tape, while being raised stepwise from the lowest value by an input level controlling circuit 62, a sound recordng equalizer controlling circuit 63 and a voltage controlling circuit 64, respectively. On the other hand, the white noise which has been recorded in this way is reproduced and amplified, and after that, each signal level is compared in each frequency band. When an input signal of a sound recording amlifier 4, the peaking frequency and the sound recording bias current, etc, attain to optimum values, latches 56, 57 and 58 hold its code signal.
