Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction under the state of trouble, by a method wherein a resistance element with non-linear temperature characteristics is connected to a motor driving transistor so that an alarm signal is generated by the operation of a detecting circuit when a short circuit trouble of the transistor occurs. CONSTITUTION:A motor M, a driving transistor Tr1 and a thermal fuse F which consists of a resistance element with non-linear temperature characteristics are connected to a source 2 in series and the base of Tr1 is connected to a signal input terminal 1. When a short circuit failure of Tr1 occurs the potential of a junction A is elevated by the thermal fuse F, a transistor Tr3 of a detecting circuit 3 is ON and a transistor Tr4 is ON by transmitting a signal into the signal input terminal 1 so that an alarm 5 of an alarm circuit 4 is put into operation. With above method, power consumption produced by the trouble is eliminated and the short circuit of the driving transistor Tr1 is detected positively, so that the motor M is prevented from malfunctioning.
