Abstract

PURPOSE:To separately measure the wetting of a building material by dew condensation and the wetting by rainfally by inserting electrodes for the purpose of detecting internal moisture contents as electric resistances into the building material and disposing a heating plate for evaporating moisture by dew condensation. CONSTITUTION:In the case of measuring the moisture contents of a building material 1 occuring in dew condensation, the electric resistance across a pair of electrodes 2, 2 inserted to the inside of the material 1 is detected without applying heat to a heating plate 3, and the moisture content thereof, that is, the wetting condition of the material 1 is measured. In the case of measuring the moisture contents occuring in rainfall, the plate 3 is heated in order to allow condensed dew to evaporate, thereby removing the moisture by the dew condensation. Thence, the heating of the plate 3 is ceased, and the moisture content by rainfall is meaaured by detecting the electric resistance across the electrodes 2, 2, whereby the wetting state of the material 1 owing to the rainfall is measured.
