Abstract
PURPOSE:To conduct blood serum segregation by using a tapered circular plate which is made of a soft plastics of specific gravity of 1.05-1.1 with an inside diameter being a little smaller than that of a separating tube and having a through hole on the top thereof. CONSTITUTION:Sampled blood is left untouched in a blood-sampling tube for a given period of time for satisfactory coagulation, and then, a blood serum segregating member 1 is inserted into a segregating tube. And then, centrifugal separation is carried out for approximately ten minutes by using centrifugal force of approximately 1,000G. The blood serum segregating member 1 starts settling while sliding and contacting through a projection 6, and blood serum starts shifting upwards through a through hole 3 and a gap between the blood serum segregating member 1 and inside wall of the segregating tube. A hollow section 5, while catching top of clot and wrapping clot at the bottom, settles, the blood corpuscle which got into a blood serum tank 10 precipitates on the surface of a tapered projection 2, shifts gradually toward inside wall of a segregating pipe 9 due to inclination and precipitates downwards.
