Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically and optionally control the speed of a hydraulic cylinder depending on its displacement, by finding out the displacement of the cylinder by a displacement detector and increasing or decreasing the discharge of a variable- capacity pump depending on the detection signal of the detector.
CONSTITUTION: When a hydraulic cylinder 3 is halfway in its stroke and a limit switch 5 is not yet changed by a lug 6, a directional control valve 9 is in a position A and a servo cylinder 7 is connected with a tank. At that time, the cylinder 7 remains expanded by a spring 7a and the discharge of a pump 1 is large. The speed of the hydraulic cylinder 3 can optionally be controlled by operating the directional control valve 2. When the cylinder 3 approaches the end of the stroke, the switch 5 is charged by the lug 6 to shift the valve 9 to a position B to supply pressurized oil from a hydraulic pressure source 8. As a result, the cylinder 7 is contracted to decrease the discharge of the pump 1.
