Abstract
PURPOSE:To decide electric power source frequencies and improve the accuracy of time limiting of a delay switching circuit counting commercial power source frequencies by combining a power source synchronizing signal and a reference signal. CONSTITUTION:An electric power source synchronizing signal generating means 1 generates a power source synchronizing signal for power sources of both 50Hz and 60Hz. The output of a reference signal generating means 3 generating a reference signal higher than power source frequencies is applied to a counting means 2 to which ssaid synchronizing signal is applied as a reset signal. Hence, the reference signal included between the power source signals appears in the output of the means 2 synchronously with the power source signals. This output is inputted to a decision means 4, and is compared with the preset storage value of a storage means 5, whereby whether the power source frequency is 50Hz or 60Hz can be decided. In this way, in the circuit of counting commercial power source frequencies and using the same as a reference for time limiting, the time limiting of high accuracy is obtained with both power source frequencies.
