Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for any integrating sphere and reduce the number of photodetectors by casting the light from a projector successively to the plural filters disposed to a rotary disc, casting the light transmitted through the filters to an object to be measured and receiving the same in a photodetecting part. CONSTITUTION:The light from a projector 2 is cast to a filter 4 by rotating a rotary disc 3, and only the light transmitted through the filter is cast to an object 1 to be measured. This is received in a photodetecting part 7 and is photoelectrically converted with a photodetector 9. With other two filters 5, 6, the similar operation is carried out, and the colors of the object to be measured are measured. If an optical fiber for projection is provided between the object 1 and the rotary disc 3 and an optical fiber for photodetection is provided between the part 7 and the object 1, the measurement in a narrow place becomes easy. Thereby, the need for an integrating sphere for casting the received light uniformly to three photodetectors is eliminated, and just one piece of photodetector is required.
