Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance a filtering speed to a large extent by irradiating far infrared rays to a material to be filtered containing an org. substance to lower a viscosity of said material to a large extent.
CONSTITUTION: A material containing various animal and vegetable org. substances is concentrated to adjust a concn. of a solid substance to about 0.5W8wt%. The concentrated material to be filtered is thrown onto a filter cloth from a throwing apparatus 1 and, in a horizontal running part, filtered under gravity. At the same time, far infrared rays are irradiated by a far infrared ray irradiating apparatus 3 to lower a viscosity thereof. When the filtered material is reached to a main drum 4, it is filtered under a condition interposed between said filter cloth and other filter cloth 5. A filter cake 7 completed from the filtering is scraped off by a scraper 6 and discharged. Further, a wave length of said far infrared rays is about 4W50μ generated, for example, by an oscillator comprising a special ceramic. Thereby, modification is generated in an org. substance and a viscosity thereof is rapidly lowered.
