Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure an adjunctive material in a projecting state to a base material by drawing a cylindrical part on a base material, inserting a blank material into this cylindrical part, and upsetting the blank material by one descending operation of a ram to keep the cylinerical part held gnawed in the blank material thereby securing the blank material to the base material.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a forming die 17 having a die hole 18, a punch 4 drawing a cylindrical part of a bottom open shape projecting in the die hole 18 via an adjunctive material to a base material 24 and ejecting the leading end part of the adjunctive material from the cylindrical part, and a base member 19 which is provided in the die hole 18, moves to a prescribed extent by receiving the pressing force in accordance with the drawing of the cylindrical part and ejecting of the adjunctive material, stops moving when the punch 4 arrives at an upsetting area with respect to the die 17, and acts the upsetting force of the punch 4 upon the leading end part of the adjunctive material projecting from the cylindrical part. A projection 20 forming an under hole for drawing of the cylindrical part to the base material 24 by the pressure contact thereof upon starting of the drawing of the cylindrical part is projected to the end face of the member 19.
