Abstract

PURPOSE: To make granulation and dehydration continuous and reduce the size of a titled device by driving a solid flocculating and granulating section and a dehydrating centrifugal section with the same revolving shaft in a granulating and dehydrating device which recovers mineral in a solid form from aqueous mineral suspension such as grained coal.

CONSTITUTION: The granulating and dehydrating device is so constituted as to drive a granulating section 2 and a dehydrating section 3 coaxially with a revolving shaft 4. Therefore, a grained coal slurry 1 flows through an inlet 5 into the section 2 where it is supplied by the connecting pipe 10 provided to a partition plate 9 into the basket 13 of the part 3. Since the basket 13 is fixed to the shaft 4, water content is discharged through an outlet 14 by the rotating centrifugal force and pellets are conveyed to the outside through the outlet 15 of the basket 13. Since a binder is charged through an inlet 7, granulation effect is created during operation of the section 2, and there is the effect of progressing the granulation in accordance with the transfer by the revolution, whereby the amount of the binder is saved and the size of the device is reduced.
