Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform cooling of casting sand and dust collecting withot causing dew condensation of dust collecting air by measuring humidity of atmosphere sucked by a dust collector and temperature of dust collecting air, and sprinkling water calculating necessary quantity of sprinkling water.
CONSTITUTION: Temperature of dust collecting air sucked by a dust collector 9 is measured with a thermometer 20 and the quantity of saturated vapor in the dust collecting air is determined. When temperature of casting sand A' is higher than the planned value, the quantity of vapor in the sucked atmosphere determined with a hygrothermograph 21 and the estimated quantity of vapor in the casting sand A' that evaporates in the cooler 2 are subtracted from the quantity of saturated vapor in dust collecting air. Basing on this value, the quantity of sprinkled water is calculated and the quantity of water sprinkled by a sprinkler 8 is adjusted by a water quantity regulator 23 to prevent dew condensation of dust collecting air. In the case when temperature of casting sand A' is lower than the planned value and relative humidity of dust collecting air is ≤100%, a part of heating capacity of heaters 16W 18, 19 is lowered using a temperature regulator 24 to maintain specified relative humidity of dust collecting air.
