Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve inspection effective range and to speed up inspection, by arranging plural probes which are designed to make surface-to-surface contact with objects to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:A bolster member 3 is covered with neoprene rubber film in such a manner as to wrap up and turn driving wheels 1 and 2. Mounting seats 7a and 7b are installed onto siding plates 4a and 4b, and a group of contactors are fixed on them in such a manner as to be embedded in an ultrasonic wave medium 27. On a supporting cradle, one end of a connecting member 9 is fixed to a bearing 9a and the other end is mounted onto a movable wheel shaft 10 in a rotatable position 9b. A chain sprocket 11 is fixed onto the movable wheel shaft 10, and rotation of a movable wheel 12 is conducted to a sprocket 16 through a chain 13 and a group of sprockets 14a, 14b and 15. Rotation of the sprocket 16 forces the driving wheel 2 to turn through a chain 17 and a sprocket 18. By the synchronized rotations of the driving wheels 1 and 2 and the movable wheel 10, movements of the rubber film and an object to be inspected are made constant.
