Abstract

PURPOSE: To apply as a door or a shutter a solar energy collector mechanism to an opening of a construction so that it has a double function, i.e. when it is opened, it absorbs solar energy, and when it is closed, it keeps the temperature in the room.
CONSTITUTION: The shutter comprises a combination of a flexible flow inlet 3, a solar energy absorber 4 connected thereto, a flexible outlet 5, a transparent plastic member 6 for preventing heat dissipation from the surface of the absorber 4, heat insulating glass fibers 7 and a heat insulating plastic foam member 8, and is joined through hinges 2 to the edge 1 of a window. When the shutter is opened in the day time as shown in the drawing, the solar energy is absorbed into the absorber 4, is transferred to an absorbing fluid circulating therein and is used, and when after sunset the shutter is closed by moving it as shown by the arrow, the insulating member is located at the outermost side to function as an insulating door for the room.
