Abstract
PURPOSE:To actuate a body to be driven smoothly and reciprocally and to shorten a rising time, by equipping a motion converting means of converting unidirectional rotary motion into reciprocal rocking motion and a lever means of performing rocking motion connected to the motion converting means. CONSTITUTION:A reciprocating driver is equipped with a fast feed mechanism which has a crank 29 and a lever 30. As a drum 1 completes the process of preparing for image formation, a clutch 33 is energized and a shaft 31 starts turning in a direction B, so that the 1st and 2nd mirror start reciprocating motion. In this case, when the crank 29 starts turning from the position in the figure in the direction B, the lever 30 starts rocking and its speed increases smoothly. Therefore, the reciprocating of a driven body is actuated smoothly and its rising time up to a prescribed speed is shortened; and the prescribed reciprocating speed is held constant.
