Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit to guide smoothly both of the side rims of a sheet even having a size out of standard by a method wherein the position of the sheet guide is regulated by moving a support shaft, to which the sheet guide is stopped by a click, into the axial direction thereof by a regulating means.
CONSTITUTION: When the size of the sheet to be disposed is larger than a standard, a cam 27 is pivoted by the operation of a lever 28a in order to regulate the position of the support shaft 16, the height of the surface of the cam is lowered, while the support shaft 16 is moved to the left by being followed to the cam surface and the sheet guide 10 stopped by the support shaft with a click is moved to the same direction. In this case, the other sheet guide 11 is slidingly moved on the support shaft 16 to the right, reverse to the direction in case of the guide 10, by the pivoting of a chain 33 in accordance with the movement of the sheet guide 10 and thereby enlarging the distance between a pair of sheet guides 10, 11 larger than the distance for the standard size. Thereafter, the sheet is disposed and the lever 28a is turned in reverse to abutt both of the side rims of the sheet against the sheet guides 10, 11, thus, both of the side rims of the sheet are aligned.
