Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A synthetic food preservative, e.g. benzoic acid, sorbic acid, dehydroacetic acid or propionic acid, and a proteolytic enzyme, e.g. papain, bromelain or ficin, or further a substance, e.g. pressed juice of a pineapple, a tree sap of a papaya of internal organ of an animal, having the proteolytic activity are added to food. In the process, a lysokinase, e.g. lysozyme, may be added thereto.
