Abstract

PURPOSE:To equalize occupancy rate and to eliminate inconvenience on engineering work, by a method wherein two sets of windings of a pole changing cntroller are made by two kinds of coils having the different number of turns respectively and arranged so that the number of coil turns in respective solts may be equal. CONSTITUTION:In the armature winding of a pole change polyphase motor consisting of two sets of independent windings, one winding is formed by two kinds of coils having the number of turns, n1 and n2 and the other winding is also formed by two kinds of coils having the number of turns, N1 and N2. The number of windings of each coil is composed so as to have the relationship of n1>n2, N1<N2. For example, in the case of four poles - six poles and 72 slots, the number of turns is selected to be n1=3, n2=2, N1=4, N2=5. And the coil pitch 4 is selected to be odd number and each coil side is inserted in each slot so that the combination of the numbers of turns in the respective slots may be n1 and N1, and n2 and N2.
