Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase not only the image resolution but the brightness of a screen, by increasing the number of horizontal scanning lines by n times as much as the normal value and at the same time setting the normal inclination for each scanning line. CONSTITUTION:The input video signals A, B and C are written alternately with every hour into memories 3 and 4 by means of a switch S0. The reading of the memories 3 and 4 is carried out by a switch S3 with H/2. The outputs of H/2 delaying circuits 5 and 7 are delivered to a terminal 11 by a switch between switches S1 and S2. At the same time, the outputs of memories 3 and 4 plus the outputs obtained from the delaying circuits 5, 6, 7 and 8 by an exchange of a switch S4 are turned to (A+B)/2 through an adder 9 and a multiplier 10 to be delivered to the terminal 11. In such a way, a screen can be obtained as shown in the figure with twice as much scanning lines and the same inclination.
