Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber end detector which is capable of directly enlarging and detecting the end of a fiber connector, by illuminating the fiber end by a lighting equipment, and also using a filter for cutting off a harmful light beam in its reflected ray. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical body 1-A which has provided an objective lens 3, and a coupling part (receptacle) 5 fitted into an optical communication fiber connector, on its tip is connected with a cylindrical body 1-B which has provided an eyepiece 4 on its base part, through a focus adjusting fine adjustment device 2. In the inside of the cylindrical body 1-A, a lighting equipment 6, a reflector 7 and a half-mirror 8 are placed, and an end 12 is illuminated through an objective lens 3. In the inside of the cylindrical body 1-B, a filter 9 for cutting off a harmful light beam is placed, and reflected rays from the end 12 reach the eyes of an inspector through this filter 9 and the eyepiece 4.
