Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce working noises and nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas in a diesel engine by providing a means for controlling the opening of a quantity-governing electromagnetic valve so as to obtain the optimum injection rate corresponding to the working state of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: A controlling part 48 composed of an arithmetic circuit 64 of a throttling amount and the like is provided which controls the opening of a quantity- governing solenoid valve 14 so as to obtain the optimum injection rate complying with the working state of the engine. The circuit 64 inputs a number-of-rotation signal S5, an acceleration signal S8, etc., operates a throttling quantity to give the optimum injection rate for the working state and outputs a throttling quantity setting signal S13. This signal S13 is inputted as a duty factor controlling signal into a driving circuit 65 including a pulse width modulator and a pulse driving signal S23 having a duty due to S13 is outputted therefrom. This signal S23 is applied to the electromagnetic coil of the solenoid valve 14 to give the throttling quantity complying with the duty factor. Thereby, the fuel injection factor in the fuel injection device makes the intended optimum injection factor operated by the circuit 64.
